Helpful Information
Billing & Insurance
We are currently in network with Aetna, including the new state health plan as a Clear Pricing Project Provider, Medicaid Direct (Alliance Health), and the following Medicaid managed care plans: Carolina Complete Health, Amerihealth Caritas, and Healthy Blue. We are working on credentialing with other insurance companies soon! If we are out of network with your insurance, we offer superbills so that you can submit them to your insurance company for possible reimbursement for any covered services.
Frequently Asked Questions

Give us a call or fill out our contact form to find out more.
We will reach out to your child’s pediatrician for a medical order for evaluation and therapy services.
We will complete the evaluation after receiving the order and provide you with verbal results, as well as a written report. You will know at this point whether your child qualifies for speech therapy.
If your child qualifies for therapy, we will submit to your insurance (if we are in network) for prior authorization for services. Once we are approved by them, we are able to start regular therapy services.

We accept FSA or HSA cards. We also offer a prompt pay discount for payment at the time of service. We also offer a superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement for any covered services. We are not able to submit out of network claims on your behalf at this time.

For the evaluation, it is great if you are able to be present or available for a phone conversation to give more information about your concerns and what you see at home. We are able to do an evaluation at daycare/school without a parent present, as long as we have your written permission before hand. We know how tricky it can be to be free during the day!
For therapy sessions, it is recommended that you attend therapy sessions if possible to see strategies used with your child and discuss implementation of those strategies in everyday routines. However, if it is not possible for you to attend sessions, we can provide regular updates about sessions, goals, and progress.

Evaluations are about 60-90 minutes, depending on the child and the type of testing needed. Therapy sessions are usually 30 minutes one or two times per week, depending on the evaluation results.
